NYC Day Four
A touching day it was starting out at the 9/11 Memorial . It was an hour of reflecting on those who experienced the terror of the Twin Towers. The new single tower is still being constructed. Then we headed over to the New York Stock Exchange on Wall Street. After that, we boarded our ferry for our boat trip to The Statue of Liberty. The kids loved the piles of leaves on the island of the statue. Then we boarded the ferry again and toured the Ellis Island Immigration Center. In the evening, we took a sunset walk over the Brooklyn bridge to Ben's Place. He gave us a tour of his Center. The kitchen and laundry room were unbelievable. The view of the city from Ben's place was the most breath-taking view of all! Absolute serenity! We finished the evening at a Pizza place, ordering four gigantic pizzas. We continue to make lasting memories together.
