An Amazing Dad and Grandpa

We love it when Sam makes his way here. He lives so far away and our visits aren't often enough but even though we only see him for a short time we know how blessed we all are. Sam drove all the way from Wisconsin to spend the weekend with us. It was quite a trip in this small car. While he was here, he managed his time well by keeping up with everyone. He was able to make it to Chase's football game with Ricky, spent time house hunting with Ryan, Nolan, and Haley, had dinner with the Edgar and Denise, and watched Nolan and Haley's basketball games. He thought it was going to be a relaxing weekend but figured out quickly how busy schedules are. We loved having this fantastic person all weekend. We can't wait to meet again. By the way, Haley is looking forward to a car like this now. I guess we better start saving...right!

Baby Quail

The kids at school always love this project. My class received quail eggs back on the fifth of September. We observed them for about 20 days in the incubator. Then the hatching began. What an exciting experience for my second graders. 17 of the 22 quail eggs hatched beautifully. Five eggs never matured.

News Team Anchor

Nolan absolutely loves being the news team anchor for the school. He works on a news team with other kids. They rotate jobs every couple of weeks. Jobs include taking pictures, sound crew, anchor, and creating slide shows. What a responsible young man he is turning in to!
