A Mountain of Memories

We had an absolutely incredible, dreamy Valentine's weekend! Our family spent this past weekend in Stone Mountain, Georgia with our lifelong family friends, The Loose Family. We had mountains of fun every moment of the way. We spent our days playing in the snow, making snowballs, snowmen, snow angels, snow sayings, snow tubing, hiking an icy mountain, visiting the fitness center while the kids swam in the indoor heated pool or the outdoor hot tub, exploring the Stone Mountain Museum, watching a 4-D movie, A Journey to Earth, and eating bountiful amounts of foods especially at the breakfast buffet. Oh how we loved the hot chocolate, the breathtaking view, and the strawberries and whip cream. What a wonderful way to begin each day. It was so much fun rediscovering our sense of adventure on this snowy weekend.

Snowy Scenery
The snow was just beginning to fall during our lunch at The Olive Garden.
Look at those smiles!
Arriving at our resort, our window view. Nolan and Haley climbed over the balcony railing to play in the snow while we settled in with all of our belongings.
Arriving at Stone Mountain Park for our night tubing session.
Nolan, Emily, Abi, and Haley are loving the snow falling on them.
The snow ball making begins...
I Love My Valentine!
Haley's first itty bitty snowman.
Now she is hoping to make a larger snowman.
She is using a bucket this time.
She has decided that Emily and Mom should help.
Nolan is taking a break from the tubing hill.
We are waiting for our turn to tube.
Sweethearts Forever
We are approaching our hiking trail to begin our journey up to the mountain top.
Half way there, Ryan leaves me a secret message to keep me smiling.
Taking a moment to enjoy the views on our way up.
The kids love the tree forts.
Looks like we made it! What a beautiful view!
It was soooooo chilly and windy on top of the mountain.
Haley finally has the snowman she wanted.
Emily, Haley, Ryan, and I worked as a team to
build the snowman in the igloo.
On our way in to the 4-D Movie
Looking at the exhibits in the Stone Mountain Museum.
We can't wait to go again!
